Summary:

Social media marketing doesn’t have to be a chore. Anyone in financial services can use it to inform, educate, entertain, and celebrate with their clients, enjoying higher levels of engagement while building trust with customers. However, I realize that social media marketing isn’t easy for everyone, so here are some tips on how to pack a punch through your online marketing efforts!

The Best Social Media Marketing

There are several platforms to consider when you’re on social media, so which ones are right for you? Many banks feel at home on Facebook and LinkedIn, since platforms lend themselves to longer-form content and a more professional approach. They’re great for banks (and definitely where you should start if you’re just getting your feet wet) but there are other fantastic options for you to look into.

One of these options is Clubhouse, the audio-only platform that launched just over a year ago. Or get creative on Twitter and Instagram by looking at what other banks are doing for inspiration. TikTok is widely underused by bankers, but trailblazers may want to extend their social media presence there, especially if you want to appeal to younger customers.

Add Flair to Social Media with Video

You don’t have to invest in a professional studio in order to add a video to your social media endeavors. Today’s smartphone cameras are so high-end that pretty much anyone with a phone can record a nice-looking video for very little cost. Add a tripod for stability and an external microphone to get great audio, and you’ll be hard-pressed to tell the difference between today’s phone and a higher-end video camera

Still not sure if you want to include videos? Website landing pages that include a video can increase conversion rates by up to 86%. For a successful social media marketing strategy with video, plan it out in advance (everything from the platform to the video types to the content). Create, schedule, and promote the videos. Don’t forget to check your data and analytics to see how the videos did!

Email Marketing They Can’t Help But Click

Since 54% of smartphone users check email on their phones several times a day, there’s a great opportunity for you to grab their attention, that is - if you can come up with the right marketing strategy. There are plenty of tips on how to create fantastic email marketing campaigns out there, but if you get stuck, don’t hesitate to contact us

At WSI Digital, we know how to flawlessly blend your social media marketing efforts with your banking message to build connections.
