NEFMA 2009 Conference Resource Page...

On October 16, 2009 I had the pleasure of presenting at the 2009 New England Financial Marketing Association's Fall Conference in Salem, MA. This resource page is for the attendees as a helpful tool to easily download my presentation and some of the other items that we talked about during our time together.

My presentation delivered in the morning, called Social Networking Strategies - Using Web 2.0 for Financial Institutions. We talked about ways "Gen Y" and other customers are embracing technology and how to leverage the various "web 2.0" social networking sites and related interactive tools that are being developed on the 'net. As financial service professionals, many are waiting on the sidelines and staying out of the conversations that are taking place online and could very well be missing opportunities to connect with customers and those looking to "make a connection" and do business with you. Even if an organization simply uses social networking to monitor what's being said about them in the new age of the Internet, they will be steps ahead of their competition in knowing what's being said - and when an opportunity presents itself.
